Eventhough the Live Team have six players through to the final table, they still are unable to claim victory for their team. Hypothetically, if the Live Team finish 1st-6th here on this final table their team will finish on 790 points, which would be well short of the Online Team score of 960 points. GG Live Team.
Joel 'Strong Play' Dodds was our last elimination of the day after being busted on table 32 at the hands of Ben Savage.
Dodds raised it up from the button to 1,500, Savage reraised all in and Dodds called as Peter Aristidou got out of the way.
Dodds:
Savage:
The flop paired Savage's ace and he made trips on the turn just to add insult to injury. With the dust settling, Savage is taking 44,000 into the final table while Aristidou will be sitting comfortably on 36,000.
Steve 'stevoL' Leonard has been eliminated at table 30, leaving the Live Team's Kerry Stead and Dave Lee as the last two standing!
Lee raised it up 1,500 before the flop, Leonard moved the last of his stack into middle and Lee made the call, tabling but was behind Leonard's .
Leonard led all the way on a flop and turn that read , but had to dodge a venerable cornucopia of outs. Down came the river - the - and out went 'stevoL'.
With table 30 complete, Dave Lee takes 58,975 onto the final table, while Kerry Stead will unbag a stack worth 21,025 in chips.
Matthew Pearson is the latest elimination from Table 30 after he departed in 4th place after a cruel two-outer went against him.
The chips were in preflop with Pearson's pocket kings looking set for the double up against Dave Lee's pocket nines, however the poker Gods had other ideas.
The board was spread to give Lee a set and the majority of the chips in play as Pearson trudged out of the tournament area.
Damien Elsing
Well, just when we thought Van Marcus' dead stack was going to limp into 4th place, he's jumped up a points spot after the elimination of Damien Elsing.
Elsing opened to 1,000 before Ben Delaney put in yet another three-bet, making it 3,000 to go. Elsing had obviously seen enough of the three-betting and shoved all in with Delaney making the call.
Delaney:
Elsing:
The board ran out and Delaney holds up to send Elsing to the rail.
Marcus' stack was then blinded out and the two online phenoms were through to the final table:
Mat Hawker has been the most recent elimination after being caught out in a big hand against Ben Savage on table 32.
Hawker raised it up to 900 preflop and Savage called; Savage then check-called Hawker's bet of 1,800 on a flop of .
On the turn of the , Savage checked, Hawker fired out 4,100 and Savage called. He would then check to Hawker on the river ; Hawker shoved all in and Savage snap-called.
"Very good call mate," said Hawker as he threw his cards into the muck befre Savage tabled his . Savage went back up to 30,000 in chips while Matt Hawker was crippled down to 1,600. Hawker was eliminated a short time later.
Clonie Gowen
Well it's been decided that two online players will progress to the final from Table 31 after the recent elimination of Clonie Gowen.
We caught the action on the turn on a board of where Gowen had 3,000 in the middle, and Delaney had shoved all in over the top. Gowen sat in the tank for several minutes before making the call for her last 4,750.
Gowen flipped but found herself trailing the of Delaney. The river was the and Delaney takes the pot to climb to 36,000 to send Gowen to the rail.
The three online young guns left on the feature table are Delaney, Karamalikis and Elsing, but Gowen misses the points as the dead stack of Van Marcus has managed to limp into the points in 4th place. He has about 2,500 chips left if he wants to make a very late arrival!
