Set amongst the corn mazes in western Minnesota, players will be turning their attention to the poker felt to navigate their way through a field of tough competition over the next few days. The $640 Main Event is set to get underway today on the Roughrider Poker Tour, being held at the Jackpot Junction Casino and Hotel just outside of Minneapolis.
The event will feature three starting flights over three days with a winner being crowned on Sunday. An estimated $300,000 prizepool is expected by tournament staff and they will also be adding in a $10,000 WPT Wynn Main Event ticket for the winner of the event.
Day 1a is ready to take place inside the Bingo Hall of the casino, starting at 1 p.m. Players will sit down to a 60,000-chip starting stack with the blinds beginning at 100/200 and a 200 big blind ante. The levels will be 40 minutes in length throughout the event with a 15-minute break every three levels.
The Day 1s will be playing down to 15% of the field or until the end of level 16, whichever comes first. Late registration will be open for 12 levels and an unlimited number of entries are permitted throughout the event.
