Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Masato Yokosawa
Masato Yokosawa

Michael Conoran opened to 35,000 in middle position, and Robert Gill called in the small blind. Masato Yokosawa then put in a three-bet to 125,000 from the big blind. Conoran responded with a four-bet shove for 520,000, which got a quick fold from Gill, but Yokosawa snap-called.

Michael Conoran: KK All in
Masato Yokosawa: AA

The 6AJ flop had something for both players. Yokosawa improved to top set, while Conoran flopped the nut flush draw.

Conoran tapped his K, letting the poker gods know that any diamond would be welcome.

He got his wish, as the dealer completed the board with the 5 turn and the 4 river, seeing Yokosawa's top set crumble against the flush of Conoran.

Joe Hachem and Christopher Storie went to the turn on a board of 8432 when Hachem bet 52,000 from the cutoff. Storie called in the small blind.

The river was the Q and Hachem moved all in for 208,000. Storie tanked for several minutes as ESPN cameras began descending on the table. He eventually called to put Hachem at risk.

"Good call," Hachem told him, showing AJ for ace-high. Storie turned over A4 for a pair of fours to win the pot and send the 2005 champion to the rail.

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Action folded around to the blinds, where Ludovic Moryousef raised to 26,000 from the small blind and Johan Guilbert called in the big blind.

Tirone Flops an Ace to Stay Alive

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Carmine Tirone jammed for 115,000 from middle position, and Tom Siddle made the call on the button.

Carmine Tirone: A3 All in
Tom Siddle: JJ

Tirone needed an ace or some diamonds to stay alive, and found one of them on the A79 flop by spiking top pair.

The 2 turn and K river didn't bring a jack for Siddle, and he was forced to send around a third of his stack across the table to Tirone.
