Costanzo Folds Out Two, Plante Blooming

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu raised to 11,000 in the hijack, which Matthew Costanzo called in the cutoff before Dylan Duran came along in the big blind.

The action checked to Costanzo on a 9A8 flop, who bet 17,000. That was enough to fold out both Negreanu and Duran.

New to the table, Santiago Plante, who was previously all in for 1,000, has spun that up to 40,000.

Pauli Flops The Nuts

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Sebastian Pauli raised to 14,000 from first position and David James called on the button.

The flop rolled out A62 and both players checked to the J turn where Pauli moved all in for 17,000.

"I can't even call you," lamented James as he showed KK while tossing his hand away.

Pauli returned the favor and showed KQ for a flopped king-high flush.

Laying Down the Gauntlet

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Piotr Krupa raised to 12,000 from the hijack and faced a three-bet to 40,000 from Alex Foxen in the small blind. Once the big blind got out of the way, Krupa four-bet to 124,000, and Foxen quickly folded.

"You can't bully me, dude", Krupa told Foxen.

"I'm going to keep trying", Foxen retorted.

"You're The Best... All In"

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Eyan Chee called in first position to see Alex Foxen call in the cutoff and Leonid Yanovski call in the small blind. Piotr Krupa raised to 20,000 in the big blind and both Foxen and Chee called.

The flop rolled out AJ6 to see Krupa bet 40,000 and only Foxen called.

"You're the best," said Krupa as Foxen matched the bet.

"Are you bluffing?" asked Foxen.

"Yes. All in," replied Krupa as he whipped his last 115,000 into the center as the 8 turn peeled off. A smile crossed Foxen's face as he tossed away his hand, ceding the pot to Krupa.

Will We See a Spin Up?

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Left with just a single 1,000 chip, Santiago Plante flicked it in, and Peter Cross had him at risk.

Santiago Plante: A1075 All in
Peter Cross: AK96

The Q7764 board kept Plante alive, but still with just a couple of big blinds.

Duan Keeps on Betting

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Bin Duan raised to 14,000 under the gun, which Mauricio Pais and Ludovic Geilich called from the hijack and button.

Duan continued for 15,000 on a 1029 flop, which removed Pais, but Geilich called.

The 4 turn didn't slow Duan down, as he barreled for 82,000. This time Geilich waved the white flag, and Duan scooped the pot.

Wilson First To Go

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Action was picked up with cards on their backs with Trent Wilson all in for his last 21,000 against Vamerdino Magsakay in the big blind.

Trent Wilson: AJ84 All in
Vamerdino Magsakay: AKJ4

The board ran out K725J and the kings up was good for Magsakay to eliminate Wilson from the tournament.

With the World Series of Poker (WSOP) nearing its conclusion, only a handful of bracelets remain to be claimed. Today, 158 players return to the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas for Day 2 of Event #96: $3,000 6-Handed Pot-Limit Omaha, each hoping to add their name to the list of WSOP champions.

Waiting at the finish line alongside the WSOP gold bracelet is a $407,137 payday for the eventual champion, the largest slice of the event's $2,381,640 prize pool. Before thoughts can turn to the final table and beyond, however, the returning field must first navigate the money bubble, with only 134 players guaranteed a payout.

Alex Foxen returns fifth in chips with 588,000 as he looks to add a second bracelet of the summer, having captured Event #44: $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold'em for his fourth career WSOP title earlier in the series. Among those standing in his way are overnight chip leader Stanislav Halatenko (950,000), Vivian Saliba (788,000), Hen Rosilio (704,000), and Krasimir Yankov (637,000), who round out the top four stacks heading into Day 2.

Further down the leaderboard, the field remains packed with familiar faces. Hall of Famers Daniel Negreanu (111,000) and Erik Seidel (98,000) are both safely through to Day 2, while the remaining field also features a host of 25K Fantasy Draft picks, including Biao Ding (409,000), Ryan Riess (374,000), Sam Soverel (344,000), Zackary Estes (236,000), Frank Brannan (221,000), Robert Mizrachi (216,000), Ren Lin (91,000), Sean Winter (74,100), and Chance Kornuth (74,000).

Day 2 gets underway at 1 p.m. local time on July 13, with another ten levels of play scheduled. Action resumes on Level 13 with blinds at 2,000/4,000. The field will first need to survive the money bubble, at which point each remaining player will be guaranteed $6,033, with the chance to chase much larger paydays still to come.
