Matthew Shepsky is an American poker player from Illinois best known for winning the $1,000 Mystery Bounty Pot-Limit Omaha event at the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) for $305,000, $20,000 in bounties, and his maiden WSOP bracelet.
Shepsky told PokerNews that he began playing PLO cash games in 2013 and that those games are his bread and butter. Despite his cash game background, Shepsky has more than $1.9 million in live poker tournament earnings, as of July 2026.
Including the $305,000 he won during his bracelet victory, Shepsky has four six-figure scores. He won $227,864 for a victory in a $1,650 No-Limit Hold'em event in September 2015, and $195,367 for a victory in a $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em event in March 2018. His other big score came from a 29th-place finish in the 2022 WSOP Main Event, which earned him $262,300.
