White Gets the Full Double with Kings

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Jason Wilson from middle position and Christopher White from the hijack were heads-up to a 976 flop in a three-bet pot after White put in the three bet over Wilson's open. Wilson would then check-call a bet of 45,000.

On the J turn, White sized up to 100,000, and Wilson called once again.

Wilson checked a final time on the 4 river as White quickly announced all in for his final 121,000. Nearly two minutes would roll off the clock before Wilson elected to call.

Christopher White: KK All in
Jason Wilson: 88

Wilson flopped open-ended and couldn't get away on the river with such a good price, sending the majority of his stack in the direction of White who secured the double with his overpair.

"I put you on ace-king," Wilson lamented in the post-mortem.

Brian Wardrup: 55 All in
Tyler Potts: AK

The 10K8 flop saw Potts take the lead, and he stayed ahead on the 9 turn and Q runout.

Wardrup did manage to squeeze into the next pay jump before busting, earning an extra $2,500.

Daniel Marcus

Daniel Marcus had raised and Stephan Campbell then three-bet to 50,000. Back on Marcus he four-bet to 110,000 and Campbell eventually five-bet jammed for around 290,000 to get snap-called.

Stephan Campbell: A5 All in
Daniel Marcus: KK

The suited ace-rag found no help on the Q973J board and Campbell bowed out, while big stack Marcus added more chips to his tower.

Wang Departs the Main Event

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Yu-Tang Wang got his short stack of around 100,000 into the middle from the small blind, with Berkeley Yuan looking to send him to the rail from the button.

Yu-Tang Wang: KQ All in
Berkeley Yuan: 33

Mei Stays Frozen as Donets Tanks

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Yinjie Mei
Yinjie Mei

With about 300,000 already in the middle preflop, Yinjie Mei fired 91,000 from the cutoff on the 2109 flop, and Aleksei Donets called on the button.

The 8 rolled off on the turn, and Mei moved all in, comfortably covering Donets' remaining 190,000. Faced with a decision for his tournament life, Donets disappeared into the tank.

Seated directly to Mei's left, Donets spent the next several minutes staring him down, trying to pick up the slightest tell. Mei, meanwhile, resembled a statue, barely blinking as he sat motionless.

The tank stretched on and on. Other players at the table wandered off for comfort breaks, returned to find the hand still in progress, took another leisurely stroll around the Paris Ballroom, and came back again to discover Donets was still thinking.

After around nine minutes, the clock was finally called. As the countdown ticked toward zero, Donets reluctantly folded, flashing QQ for an overpair as he did.

Mei quietly slid his cards face down to the dealer, offering no clues as to what he held, before dragging in the massive pot to move to just shy of the one-million-chip mark.

Sverko Shoves the River on Lin

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

"Very professional. I use that now, whether I win or lose," Spencer Simpson said as he folded, borrowing one of tablemate Ren Lin's favorite sayings.

Meanwhile, Gregor Sverko had opened to 20,000 in the cutoff and was called by Yannick Schumacher and Lin in the blinds.

The flop came 3JK and Sverko bet 17,000. Only Lin called, and the 7 fell on the turn. Sverko then bet 90,000, and Lin again called.

The river was the 6 and Sverko moved all in for 298,000. Lin, who uncharateristically remained silent throughout the day, only took a few seconds before folding.
