No Chop For Tran

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
JC Tran
JC Tran

Florian Guimond raised to 20,000 from under the gun, and JC Tran jammed for 97,000 from the next seat. Jose Lesta then four-bet to 175,000 from middle position, and when the action folded back to Guimond, he moved all in, having Lesta covered. After a bit of a tank, Lesta folded, preserving the 380,000 or so he had behind.

JC Tran: AQ All in
Florian Guimond: AK

Tran was dominated by Guimond's big slick, but looked over to his neighbor and asked, "You ok with a chop?" Guimond nodded, letting him know he wouldn't mind splitting the pot.

The dealer had other ideas, though, as the board ran out 975103, keeping Guimond's ace-king best throughout. Tran wished the table good luck before making his way to the payout desk.

St. Vincent Clicks It Back

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Bradley St. Vincent opened to 20,000 in middle position and faced a three-bet to 60,000 from Kilian Pousset in the cutoff. When the action returned to St. Vincent, he four-bet to 135,000. That did the trick, as Pousset released his cards to the dealer, abandoning his three-bet already in the pot.
