Liow Pressure Schumacher

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On a flop of 773, Mingyew Liow bet 12,000 from middle position before Yannick Schumacher raised to 42,000 on his left. Liow responded with a three-bet to 97,000, and Schumacher called.

Liow kept the aggression on the 6 turn with another bet of 131,000, and Schumacher called once more.

On the Q river, Liow emptied the clip with a bet of 300,000, over half his remaining stack. More than two minutes would roll off the clock before Schumacher opted to let his hand go, and Liow returned his cards to the dealer with a devious smile.

Joshua Abady raised to 16,000 and was called by David Kurtz. Jack Benson then three-bet to 40,000 and Abady folded while Kurtz called and checked the 744 flop. Benson made it 80,000 to go and won the pot right there.

Kliper Catches Karlsson to Double Up

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

In a pot worth about 100,000, Alfred Karlsson and Arie Kliper had reached the K1043J river. Karlsson put his opponent all in from under the gun.

Kliper was in the cutoff and mulled things over. Eventually, he shrugged and called off his stack of 128,000. Karlsson could only show a bluff with 87, meaning Kliper's J10 for two pair doubled him up.

Kilintaris Flips Nguyen to the Rail

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Daniel Marcus raised to 16,000 in the hijack before Tracy Nguyen moved all in for 139,000 on the button. Dimitrios Kilintaris then reshoved for 200,000 in the small blind, and Marcus got out of the way.

Tracy Nguyen: AQ All in
Dimitrios Kilintaris: JJ

The two players were racing going to the flop, which came 962 to keep Kilintaris in the lead with his jacks. The turn was the 10, while the K river was no help to Nguyen and she was eliminated.

Whisky, Anyone?

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Cheng Zhao raised to 16,000 from early position, and Daniel McGinnis was the only caller from the big blind.

McGinnis checked the K78 flop, and just as Zhao was pondering, another player at the table, seated directly opposite the dealer, accidentally knocked over a whisky bottle, sending it hurtling cap-first toward the middle. The dealer let out a gasp, but fortunately the lid stayed firmly in place and not a drop escaped.

The bottle's owner jokingly pretended to spray the half-full bottle of whisky across the flop, getting a few laughs from the table. Zhao and McGinnis, however, remained motionless

Once the disruption was over, Zhao fired a continuation-bet of 13,000, which McGinnis called.

The Q turn brought another check from McGinnis, but after Zhao fired a second barrel of 22,000, McGinnis quickly let his hand go.

Vizel Ignores the Signs as Vergara Doubles Off McCully

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Yitzchok Vizel limped in from early position before Diego Vergara moved all in for 139,000 in the cutoff. Joshua McCully then reshoved for 400,000 in the small blind.

"I was born in '86. That's telling me to call. Look at the time. It's giving me a straight," Vizel said as he pointed out the clock on his phone showed 12:46. Malcolm Franchi eventually called the clock on him, but the rest of the table agreed that Vizel hadn't yet taken enough time and the tournament official delayed the start of his 30-second countdown.

Vizel eventually folded 53, leaving Vergara and McCully heads-up. "Don't give it to me," Vizel pleaded with the dealer.

Diego Vergara: AQ All in
Joshua McCully: A10

Vergara had McCully dominated, and his queen-kicker continued to play on the 27847 board to earn him the double up. Vizel, it should be noted, would've picked up a straight draw on the turn but missed the river.

"Vamos! That's how we celebrate in Mexico." Vergara said.

Michael Conoran raised to 16,000 from the cutoff and Chris Moorman defended his big blind.

Moorman checked to Conoran, who continued for 16,000 on the 7JK flop. Moorman then cut out a raise to 40,000 and placed it into the middle.

"Nice hand. I hate you, but nice hand," Conoran said as he tossed his cards into the middle.

"[That was] my board. No more of that," Conoran added.
