The 9♦10♠3♠ flop saw action check to the 10♥ turn and Punsri bet out 1,200,000. Jung mucked and Punsri picked up the pot.
Chahn Jung opened to 1,200,000 from under the gun and Yoon Choi moved all in from early position. Action folded around to Jung who made the call and the pair flipped their cards.
Yoon Choi: A♦K♦
Chahn Jung: Q♦6♦
Choi was ahead, and the 8♠5♦5♥ flop didn't change the standings. The 2♥ turn and 2♦ river saw to Choi's easy chip up.
Maurice Hawkins was down to his final 600,000 and was forced all-in by the big blind. Yanting Jiang limped from middle position, which invited limps from Vasileios Panagiotidis from the cutoff and Roberto Romanello from the small blind.
The three remaining players checked it all the way down on the 4♣5♦4♥10♠A♥ runout to go to a showdown.
Romanello showed 3♠3♥ for two pair.
"It was nice playing with you guys," said Hawkins. "Not!" Hawkins then showed A♦4♦ for a full house as he secured the quadruple up.
"La cucaracha," said Hawkins in celebration, which is Spanish for the cockroach. "I'm hard to kill."
Chahn Jung opened from under the gun to 1,200,000 and Yanting Jiang three-bet to 3,000,000 from early position. Jung mucked, and Jiang scooped the pot.
In the next hand Jiang opened to 1,200,000 and action folded around to Jung in the big blind who defended.
The 6♦9♣8♦ flop was checked by both to see the A♦ turn and again to the 6♠ river. Jung took the pot after showing his 10♣8♥ as Jiang opted to muck.
Maurice Hawkins went all-in from under-the-gun for 5,800,000 before Dylan Lew went all-in himself for 5,500,000 on the button. Everyone else cleared out as Hawkins and Lew went to a showdown, with Lew at risk.
Dylan Lew: A♦Q♥
Maurice Hawkins: A♠K♥
Hawkins was in a prime position to score the knockout as they went to a runout. The flop favored Hawkins as it came 6♠10♠10♣, but it did present some chop outs.
Any idea of a chop disintegrated on the Q♠ turn as Lew took the lead in the hand. Hawkins had plenty of outs with spades working for him and a straight draw.
Lew escaped elimination when the 8♥ came on the river as Hawkins was left with only 300,000.
The very next hand, Hawkins was forced all-in from the big blind. Yanting Jiang made it 1,200,000 from the hijack, and the rest of the table folded as she went to a showdown against Hawkins.
Maurice Hawkins: Q♥10♣
Yanting Jiang: A♠3♠
Jiang held the slight edge preflop, but Hawkins gained more outs on the 8♥K♥J♣ flop with an open-ended straight draw.
The Q♦ turn was a friend to Hawkins despite being the bane of his tournament just the hand before.
Hawkins held on the 3♣ river to stay alive despite running on fumes.
Chahn Jung opened to 1,200,000 from early position and Vasileios Panagiotidis three-bet to 4,000,000 from the hijack. Jung went into a tank but eventually folded. Panagiotidis flashed his ace-king to the table and Jung said he folded ace-queen.
A few hands later Vasileios Panagiotidis opened to 1,200,000 from under the gun and Punnat Punsri three-bet to 3,500,000 from the cutoff. Chahn Jung four-bet for 6,300,000 on the button and Panagiotidis mucked his hand quickly. It took a little while for Punsri to do the same, but Jung got back some chips from the table.
Dylan Lew began the hand with an open to 1,200,000 from the hijack. Michael Rocco wanted to play for more and chose to three-bet to 3,100,000 on the button. Lew made the call to keep the pot heads up.
The 8♥K♥K♠ flop led to a check from Lew. Rocco continued for 800,000, and Lew called.
Lew checked again on the 4♠ turn. Rocco fired a second salvo for 4,200,000, leaving a single green 25,000 chip behind. Lew gave it some consideration, but opted to fold as Rocco took in the pot.
