Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Matthew Shepsky
Matthew Shepsky

James Chen (US) raised to 500,000 from under the gun, Christopher Vitch called on the button before Matthew Shepsky made it 2,200,000 from the small blind. Chen folded but Vitch made the call.

Action checked as the flop came 3Q5, then Shepsky asked how much was in the pot and announced roughly 5,000,000 when the J hit the turn and Vitch quickly folded.

Kerbel Calls Quickly

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Jeremy Kerbel raised to 600,000 from the cutoff, Steven Abitbol called in the small blind, then the big blind folded and the dealer fanned out a flop of KAK.

Abitbol checked to Kerbel, and he checked behind; the 5 on the turn saw the same action, and both players checked. The 3 on the river saw Abitbol lead for 250,000 and Kerbel quickly called.

Abitbol tabled 9987 for kings and nines, but Kerbel tabled AJ86 for aces and kings to take the pot.

Pupillo Doubles with Trips on Board

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Nick Pupillo got it all in from the cutoff, with big blind Sergio Giha also all in with a covering stack.

Nick Pupillo: AQJ9 All in
Sergio Giha: A652

The 5KK flop fired Giha into the lead, but he lost it immediately on the K turn, as Pupillo's ace-queen was playing with trips. He needed to fade a club, and did on the 10 river to secure a full double.

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Tom Talboom
Tom Talboom

Christopher Vitch raised to 550,000 from the cutoff, Tom Talboom raised to 1,800,000 in the small blind, and Vitch called.

Talboom went all in for 2,200,000 when the flop came 10Q5, and Vitch snap called.

Tom Talboom: QQJ6 All in
Christopher Vitch: AJ98

The J on the turn gave Schwartz a flush, meaning Talboom needed to hit a queen or pair the board to win the pot. The 8 river was no help, and he was eliminated.

Stroke Just Calls, Carreras Just Busts

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Shawn Stroke potted to 550,000 from the cutoff, and Bernat Carreras Moragrega repotted to 1,900,000 from the button, leaving just 150,000 behind. Action folded back to Stroke, who took quite some time before putting in four pink T-500,000 chips. With some confusion as to whether he had put his opponent all in or not, Stroke repeatedly announced that it was just a call.

The two ended up going off to a flop of 7A7 and this time Stroke put his opponent all in. Carreras, clearly unhappy with the flop, flicked in his last chips.

Bernat Carreras Moragrega: KKQ10 All in
Shawn Stroke: 9763

As it turned out, Carreras was worried about the wrong card, as his opponent had flopped trip sevens, and held on the JJ runout to secure the knockout.

Noah Schwartz: AK76

Manzano's pocket jacks were ahead of Schwartz's pair of sevens. The board ran out 9 on the turn and the 3 on the river to give Manzano a double-up with jacks-up.

Shepsky Takes From Vitch

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Christopher Vitch raised to 550,000 from early position, and Matthew Shepsky called in middle position. The blinds folded, and they went to a flop of 293. Vitch checked to Shepsky, who fired out a bet of 775,000, and Vitch called.

Both players decided to check on the 3 turn, then Shepsky forced Vitch to fold with a bet of 1,800,000 on the 7 river.

Clemens Shows

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Stefan Clemens potted to 550,000 from the cutoff, and his only caller was small blind Steven Abitbol.

The K10J flop checked through, bringing in the 7 turn. Abitbol then led out for 600,000, only for Clemens to push forward his entire stack of 3,400,000.

Despite it being over a pot-sized bet, the dealer placed out the all-in triangle. Thankfully, it would not matter, as Abitbol quickly folded, and Clemens showed KKQ10 for top set, an open-ender as well as a spade draw.

Grassi First Casualty

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

On a flop of K4Q, both blinds checked to Christopher Vitch on the button. He bet out for 200,000, then James Chen put in a raise to 1,200,000. Big blind Daniel Grassi moved all in for 2,600,000, and only Chen called.

Daniel Grassi: KQJ5 All in
James Chen: AJ109

Grassi's two pair was ahead, but he couldn't dodge Chen's wrap, as the 3A runout improved him to Broadway to send Grassi packing.
