Rezaei Scoops One

Level 23 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Action folded to Josef Schusteritsch in the small blind, who raised to 700,000. Daniel Rezaei in the big blind made the call.

Both players checked the 1097 flop.

On the 4 turn, Schusteritsch check-called the 1,150,000 bet of Rezaei.

The K river completed the board, and Schusteritsch checked once more. Rezei took his time before betting 2,100,000, which was enough for Schusteritsch to fold and give up the pot.

Were Queens Tripped Up?

Level 23 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Timur Margolin opened for 400,000 from the cutoff and called when Paulius Vaitiekunas three-bet to 1,200,000 out of the small blind.

The latter continued for 650,000 on the A74 flop, Margolin called, and then both players checked the A turn.

When the 2 completed the board on the river, Vaitiekunas checked and Margolin bet what looked like 700,000. Vaitiekunas called only to muck when Margolin rolled over the A9 for trip aces.

"Kings?" Margolin asked.

"One less," responded Vaitiekunas, implying he had pocket queens.

Kenney Five-Bet Jams

Level 23 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Josef Schusteritsch raised to 400,000 from the hijack only to have Bryn Kenney three-bet to 1,300,000 from the small blind.

Schusteritsch responded with a four-bet to 2,400,000, and Kenney thought for a bit before five-bet jamming all in.

That did the trick as Schusteritsch released his hand, which prompted Kenney to show AxJx offsuit.

Level 23 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Kristen Foxen
Kristen Foxen

Kristen Foxen opened from early position to 400,000. Action folded to Josef Schusteritsch on the button, who three-bet to 850,000. Foxen then moved all in for around 2,650,000, and after taking one last look at his cards, Schusteritsch made the call.

Kristen Foxen: JJAll in
Josef Schusteritsch: KK

Foxen needed to improve to stay alive, but the board ran out 4783Q, offering no help. Schusteritsch's kings held up, ending Foxen's deep run as the official final table bubble.

Rezaei vs. Smiljkovic

Level 23 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Daniel Smiljkovic raised to 400,000 under the gun and Daniel Rezaei called two spots over. Action folded to Daniel Negreanu, and he called from the big blind to make it three-way action to a flop of J32.

Two checks saw Rezaei bet 400,000, Negreanu folded, and Smiljkovic called to see the 3 turn. Smiljkovic then check-called a bet of 1,300,000 before checking the A river.

Rezaei checked behind and was no doubt happy he did as Smiljkovic rolled over the A3 for a full house.

Dwan Fires Back

Level 23 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Daniel Rezaei opened to 400,000 from middle position, and Jamie Dwan defended his big blind.

On the 53Q flop, Dwan check-raised Rezaei's continuation bet of 150,000 to 900,000. Rezaei made the call.

The 7 fell on the turn, and Dwan moved all in for his remaining 1,900,000. Rezaei burned through three time bank cards before eventually sending his hand into the muck, conceding the pot to Dwan.

Final Table Redraw

Level 23 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

The final nine players have now been redrawn to a single table. Just one more needs to exit before the official final table of eight is set, but now, for the remainder of the tournament, things will play out on the outer feature table with a couple of dozen spectators already on the rail to sweat the action.

Eric Yanovsky Eliminated in 10th Place ($146,295)

Level 23 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Eric Yanovsky
Eric Yanovsky

Action folded to Timur Margolin in the small blind and he just open-jammed to put the pressure on Eric Yanovsky, who called off from the big for roughly 4,200,000.

Eric Yanovsky: QQ All in
Timur Margolin: A3

Yanovsky woke up with a big hand, and for a moment, it looked like Margolin's aggressive jam might pay a big prize. That all changed when the A38 flop delivered him two pair and put Yanovsky on the ropes.

Neither the 8 turn nor 4 river helped Yanovsky, who stated, "The usual stuff."

Kenney Pulls the Trigger

Level 23 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Timur Margolin kicked things off with a raise to 400,000 from the cutoff and picked up two callers.

On the 37J flop, Bryn Kenney checked from the big blind, as did Margolin. Eric Yanovsky then seized the opportunity to bet 325,000, and both opponents called to see the 7 turn.

Kenney took his time before announcing he was all-in for 2,600,000. The bet was enough to force folds from both Margolin and Yanovsky, earning Kenney the pot without a showdown.
